RDC holds conference on public-private partnership on CRM |

The Regional Development Council 1 mounted a conference on Public-Private Partnership on Coastal Resource Management last July 23, 2010 at the NEDA Regional Office No.1, City of San Fernando, La Union. The Conference was participated in by the Regional Technical Working Group of the Coastal Resource Management Program-Ilocos Coast (CRMP) and representatives from private businesses and establishments located along the coast of the region. |

RDC-1 takes a positive stance as the region’s economy decline |
As the region’s economy decline in 2009, the Regional Development Council of Region 1 (RDC-1) takes a positive stance to improve the agriculture sector and address its vulnerability to climate change. In the report of the National Statiscal Coordination Board (NSCB) on the region’s gross regional domestic product, the region’s economy took its toll from the damages brought by typhoons Emong and Pepeng that adversely affected the production of the agriculture sector in 2009.

RDC-1 readies for Successor MTRDP 2011-2015 |

The Regional Development Council in the region (RDC-1) prepares for the Medium Term Regional Development Plan for 2011-2015 through a series of pre-planning activities for the next three months (May to July), which will include the following: a) research utilization fora for poverty reduction related studies, b) conduct of focused group discussions (FGD), and c) vision validation workshop.
